All are free of charge, and you can unsubscribe at any time by simply replying to any message you receive, with the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line. All emails to each list are always sent out BCC, which means that neither your email address will be visible to other subscribers, nor will other subscribers' email addresses be available to you. You may respond to me to any of them, by simply hitting the "reply" button, the same as any other email.
Before your name is actually added to the list, you will be sent an email asking you to verify that it was actually you who asked to be subscribed to the list(s).
At this time, I am currently maintaining three email Alert Lists. The first is the General News Alert List, which includes primarily political news from the United States and significant political news from other countries as well that is of interest to progressives and liberals. It also tends to include a great deal of material about Zionism and Israel, its relationship to the United States, its effects on U.S. foreign policy and interests abroad.
This is a political news list, offering news, cogent analysis and other items of interest to progressives and liberals, edited primarily to assist in left-of-center awareness and political activism. Each email normally includes a commentary by me, summarizing what I view as the primary significance of the article, followed by a link to the article and a brief excerpt of from the web page so that you can get a sense of what is on the page, so you will know if you want to go there.
Note - this is a very busy list and subscribers will often receive as many as twenty emails in a single day. If this is difficult to manage for you, consider setting up a folder on your email program, and filter the items you receive to that folder. You can then browse it at your convenience. The display name on the emails you receive will never vary, so it may be used for your filter rule.

The second email Alert List is intended for persons who have an interest in items of special interest to sexual minorities; gays, lesbians, the transgendered, transsexuals, the intersexed, etc. This list consists primarily of news items, but may include commentary, web sites I encounter that are of special interest, etc. This is a low-volume list - typically one or two items per week.

The third email list is a list intended primarily for those with an interest in politics and political events in Latin America for whatever reason. As in the general list above, it normally includes items of interest to liberals and progressives. This is a medium volume list - typically one or two items per day. Items may (rarely) include Spanish-language articles.
